Cebu archbishop frowns on House approval of divorce bill

CEBU CITY- Archbishop Jose Palma on Tuesday said he disapproved of the House of Representatives decision to pass a bill legalizing divorce.

The former president of the Catholic Bishop's Conference of the Philippines (CBPCP) said he is sad over the bill's legislative progress, saying it will only cause the deterioration of the sanctity of marriage.

The organization doubts their lawmaking intentions.  Despite of the fact that their are lots of Catholics in the Philippines, they are just pursuing what they wanted.

Palma is said to offer prayers for those Senates which has yet to pass their own versions of the Bill this coming holy week.

Philippines is one of the known states in the world, aside from Vatican, where divorce is outlawed.



NAIA ranks 10th on 'world's most improved airports' list

10TH MOST IMPROVED. Skytrax ranks the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila, Philippines as the 10th most improved airport in the world.

MANILA, Philippines – The Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) ranked 10th on a list of the "world's most improved airports" for 2018, released by London-based Skytrax.

As of March 22, 2018, The Department of Transaportation (DOTr) noted that the NAIA is one of the world's worst airports.

According to Skytrax, here is the list of most improved airports around the world:
  1. Rome Fiumicino
  2. Perth
  3. Calgary
  4. Taiwan Taoyuan
  5. Athens
  6. Nadi
  7. Montréal
  8. Moscow Sheremetyevo
  9. Houston Intercontinental
  10. Manila
According to Skytrax, the list is from the results of questionnaires that was filled up by 100 different nationalities of 550 airports worldwide. The survey was conducted from August 2017 until February 2018.


PNP KILL 13 DRUG SUSPECTS, ARREST OVER 100 AS DUTERTE QUITS ICC

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine police said on Thursday, March 22, they had shot dead 13 drug suspects, just days after President Rodrigo Duterte moved to take the country out of the International Criminal Court over its inquiry into his deadly drug war.

The suspects were killed last March 31 in a place in Northern Bulacan wherein the police of the province launched lethal operations to alleviate the spreading of illegal drugs.

Bulacan is currently holding intensified operations in support with the fight against illegal drug campaign by the President. Currently, they had already produced a result of more than 100 arrest in relation with drug selling and abuses.

Philippine Police are already saying that they already killed about 4100 suspects. These suspects were those who fought back during the 'Oplan Tokhang' operations.

These also result to debates and protest from groups who are encouraging and fighting for justice and those who are pushing human rights to rest upon every borders of the Philippines.
